Bilal Da'wa Center of Calgary Alberta was founded on March 1, 2018, under Oromo Muslim Association of Alberta.
Bilal Da'wa Center is a learning hub to learn about and understand Islam through dialogue by inviting people to the faith, prayer, and manner of Islamic life. Educating our community in Quran studies, Arabic language and the history of Islam and how Islam applies to everyday life and everyday living. The Center's goals are to provide a wholesome and enriching learning environment for people who are interested in learning and practicing the faith of Islam. The Center seeks to work collaboratively with the community in bringing about social and cultural, educational, development for all. As Muslims, we strive to be good neighbors to all residents of Calgary.
Bilal Da'wa Center is made up of people from different ethnic backgrounds, but a large number of participants are of the African Oromia heritage.
